About Me
Our disabled boy is truly a lover boy. He has been with us since the end of 2019 and he has made himself the center of our lives. Jackie is such a handsome boy and so intense.
He was hit by a car a few months before we met him dragging his body on the road. He came from a family that loved him and even tried to get him veterinary help, but they really just did not know what to do for him and the local vet did more damage than good.
He gets around well in his wheelchair and also without it on the tile floors, so he needs to be somewhere that he can slide around and as he is incontinent, that has to be managed too. He is absolutely full of life and just the most amazing character and for the right home, he will be the most amazing boy.
We would like him to go the the US or Europe ideally where vets with much more experience managing disabled dogs can take care of him.
Want to Adopt me?
All dogs adopted from VAAR within Vietnam must have homes with extremely secure gardens and have access to the international vet clinics in Hanoi, Da Nang, or Saigon.
Dogs are to be kept indoors when the owner is not home and at night. Dogs should never be walked off leash. In Vietnam, dog theft is a very real terror and we take the security of our rescues very seriously.
A home check is required for both dog and cat adoptions and an application should be filled out and approved by staff prior to bringing your new pet home. All animals at the shelter are already sterilized and vaccinated. Microchipping is available only for our International adoptions.
